Kubuki (? – 6/10/2025)

Kubuki came to me on May 29th, 2020, in a group of 4 scorpions that I received as ‘payment’ in exchange for a sponsorship deal. Unusual origins, I know, but I very much enjoyed having Kubuki as part of the Wild Hearts for just over 5 years.

I found her passed unexpectedly on June 10th, 2025. For most of my animals, I typically know when something is wrong or their natural life spans are winding down, but I had checked on Kubuki the night before she passed and she seemed fine.

I assume she passed just due to old age, as she had been with me for just over 5 years and was already an adult when I got her. Asian Forest Scorpions typically live between 5 and 8 years in captivity.

Rest in peace Kubuki. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
