Leopard Geckos

I currently have one leopard gecko, Miyuki, who I watched hatch in June of 2011. Her parents, Haku and Aurora, were also my geckos but have sadly since passed on. I still miss both of them, but they live on in their spitfire of a daughter!

Miyuki:

Hatch Date: June 14th, 2011

I still oftentimes think of Miyuki as “the baby” of the family however, she is currently the oldest Wild Heart critter! I bred my then adult geckos, Haku and Aurora, and Miyuki’s egg was the only one Aurora laid that ended up being fertile. You just know I couldn’t bring myself to give Miyuki up! I never bred Aurora again, and she lived out the rest of her days with us before passing peacefully right before her 17th hatch day.

Miyuki is a beautiful lizard, just like her mother was, but the similarities end there. While Aurora was sweet and calm, Miyuki is a little spitfire. She has an attitude and doesn’t really like people, although I just adore her. Maybe in another 13 years she’ll learn to like me? Probably not.
